Descriptive tags called metadata appear at the top of each Document Library view. Use these fields to filter or group files and find exactly what you need without navigating nested folders.
Filtering Documents
- Select a metadata field at the top of the Document Library.
- For example, Document Type
- Choose a value to filter by.
- Such as "Customer Statements."
- Apply additional filters as needed to narrow your results further.
- For example, filter by Year to see only 2025 files
You can apply multiple filters at the same time to precisely locate the files you need.
Grouping Documents
- Select a metadata field at the top of the Document Library.
- Navigate to 'Group By...' in the menu options.
- To add a second grouping, select an additional metadata field.
- You can group by up to two metadata fields at a time.
Saving a View
Save your preferred filters and groupings as a view so you can return to them without reapplying each time.
- Apply your preferred filters and groupings.
- Select the Options Menu (two lines) in the top right corner and choose Save view.
- Name your view and select Save.
Views are specific to each Client Site. If you want the same view in multiple Client Sites, you will need to recreate it in each one.
Compact List View
Switch to compact list view to see more files at once.
- Select Options Menu (two lines) at the top of the Document Library.
- Choose Compact list.
