Use these controls to stop one pending statement or pause all future statements for a client.
Skip one pending statement
Only firms who have not yet automated statements can skip a pending statement.
- Open Collections and select the client.
- Click Skip Statement at the bottom of the statement panel.
- Confirm the client no longer has a statement awaiting review.
Skipping dismisses only the current draft. The statement appears as Skipped in the list of staged statements. You can undo the skip if the statement should be restored.
Pause statements for a client
- Open Collections and select the client.
- Find Enable statement emails at the top right of the detail panel.
- Turn the toggle grey.
Pausing stops new statements from being generated for the client. The client moves out of Collections and appears on the Clients Excluded from Collections list in Settings. Their collections configuration is retained until statement emails are resumed.
Resume statements
- Open the client in Collections.
- Turn Enable statement emails blue.
- Recheck the aging summary and To address before sending. The client's balance or Billing Contact may have changed while statements were paused.
A new statement is generated at the next trigger. Statements missed while the client was paused are not backfilled.
Use Skip Statement when the reason is temporary and should expire with one draft. Pause statement emails when someone must deliberately decide when chasing resumes.
You need the Edit Collections Settings firm user permission to skip, pause, resume, or undo collection statements.
