What changes for a client whose status your firm has told Aiwyn to treat as inactive.
| Behavior | Effect |
|---|---|
| Statements | The client no longer receives Aiwyn statements. |
| Client Portal | During Payments Implementation, you can choose whether or not the client cannot access their Client Portal. |
| Engagements | You cannot send the client an engagement letter through Aiwyn, if you use Engagements. |
| Firm Portal clients list | No effect. Once a client record has been loaded into the Firm Portal it stays in the Firm Portal clients list, whatever happens to its status afterwards. |
Key concepts
- A client record cannot be removed from the Firm Portal client list
- During implementation and prior to your system deployment, decide which status(es) from your practice management system are to be considered “inactive” - this will prevent those already inactive client records from being added to Aiwyn.
- If a client was active during your implementation and then became inactive at a later date, that client record will still be shown on the list of clients in the Firm Portal.
- Access to the inactive client’s invoices and payment history is cut off once the client record in the practice management system has moved to a status identified as “inactive”.
- Future statements for the client are no longer staged/sent for the inactive client.
