Summary
If you use both SafeSend and Aiwyn, then your firm can take advantage of the SafeSend/Aiwyn email integration. You simply set up the integration in SafeSend one time, and then when sending tax returns and invoices via email from SafeSend, the client receives a single email from SafeSend connecting them to their Aiwyn portal and allowing them to view and pay the invoice directly through Aiwyn.

Set up integration
To set this integration up, follow these steps in SafeSend:
- Sign into SafeSend
- Navigate to the Settings section
- Select Vouchers & Invoices
- Scroll down to the section Invoice Payment Processing Options (See figure 1 below)
- Select the Aiwyn bullet point and a small window appears
- Enter your Aiwyn Firm Portal URL. Your email associated with your SafeSend account populates and cannot be edited. (See figure 2 below). The email address is meant to validate your integration and is not seen by clients.
- Select confirm
- The set up of the integration is complete

Emailing return and invoice to client
The process for preparing and emailing the return and invoice to the client from SafeSend has not changed.
When preparing the Invoice, be sure to first prepare it in your practice management system, otherwise it will not be available to pay through the Aiwyn Client Portal.
Upload the invoice PDF and insert the invoice amount in SafeSend (see figure 3 screenshot below).

When completing the SafeSend steps, you will want to select "Deliver to Client" and then select Send button (see figure 4 screenshot below).

Client experience
Upon sending the return and invoice through SafeSend, the client receives a SafeSend email (see figure 5 screenshot below).

Steps for clients:
- Select the "Let's Get Started" button from the body of the SafeSend email to navigate to the portal
- Once they are in the SafeSend portal they will see the invoice and the option to pay
- Select the "pay now" button (see figure 6 screenshot below)
- Upon selecting the "pay now" button, the client is brought to their Aiwyn Client Portal with the invoice pulled up and ready for them to make a payment
