You can quickly find, refine, and export client records from the clients list in the Clients & Contacts module using built-in search, filtering, and export tools that work together to reflect exactly what you see on screen.
Searching for Clients
You can query all searchable client fields at once to quickly locate specific records.
- Locate the search field in the top-right corner of the clients list.
- Enter your search text.
- Review the updated results as the list refreshes automatically.
Filtering Client Records
You can narrow the client list using precise, column-level filter conditions.
- Hover over the column header you want to filter.
- Select the column menu (three lines) icon to open column options.
- Open the filter icon (the middle icon with stacked horizontal lines) to open filtering options.
- Choose a filter condition:
- Equals
- Does not equal
- Contains
- Does not contain
- Starts with
- Ends with
- Is empty / Is not empty
- Enter a value.
- Select Apply.
Using AND / OR Logic
You can combine multiple filter conditions to create advanced filtering rules.
- AND requires all conditions to be met and narrows results.
- OR matches any condition and broadens results.
This allows for advanced filtering, such as:
- Clients managed by a specific user AND located in a certain region
- Clients with a specific billing contact OR a primary contact assigned
Resetting Filters
You can return to the full client list by clearing any active filters.
- Select Column filters applied at the top of the screen.
- Use the Reset Filters option from the filter men.
Exporting Clients
You can export client data directly from the clients list based on your current view.
- Apply any searches or filters you want reflected in the export.
- Select export on the top right-hand side.
- Choose an export format:
- CSV is best for importing into other systems.
- Excel is best for reviewing or sharing data.
4. Select Download.
