Build a reusable work breakdown structure that auto-creates tasks and allows staff time to be logged against the project and subsequently billed to the client on an invoice, and change an existing template's structure, hours or work codes.
Create a project template
- Go to Settings → Project Management → Project Templates.
- Select New Template... in the upper-right area.
- Enter a Template Name, for example Tax Return Preparation.
- Choose an existing Service Line to associate to the projects created from the template.
- If using Aiwyn Request Lists: Choose an existing Request Templates to associated to the projects created from the template.
- If using Aiwyn Request Lists: Choose an existing Deliverable Template to associate to the projects created from the template.
- Build the Work Breakdown Structure. Indentation sets the hierarchy: an un-indented line is a phase, an indented line beneath it is a child task.

- Select Create.
Edit a project template
- Go to Settings → Project Management → Project Templates.
- Select the template name to open it.
- Change the Project Name, Description, or Tasks.
- Select Save.
Edits to the project template only apply to new projects not yet generated from the template, existing projects previously created from the template will remain intact and unchanged.
