Firm staff can store a client's card, debit card, or bank details inside that client's portal so later payments taken on their behalf — including recurring ones — do not need the details re-entered.
Payment methods you save are visible to other firm staff viewing this client's portal, but never to the client. Payment methods the client saved for themselves are never visible to you. This is a PCI compliance boundary, not a permission you can change. A client can have as many saved methods as needed.

While setting up a recurring payment
Recurring payments require a saved payment method. During setup you can either pick an existing saved method or create a new one in the same flow. Follow the procedure in "Create a recurring payment plan".
